Borut Pahič studied in the class of prof. Jože Falout at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana. After completing his studies, he was employed with the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra and has been since 2001 first hornist of the SNG Maribor Symphony Orchestra.

He is also active as a chamber musician and has performed with the Australian chamber orchestra on a tour in Australia, among others.
