Matinee for families with children

On this occasion, with our young and youngest listeners, we will be occupied with imaginary antics and adventures with the horn. This powerful, glittering and beautifully bent instrument is truly indispensable in every serious concert hall. The musicians will also allow themselves some word bending, we will quickly find ourselves in a place that is as dark as the inside of a horn, and someone may even find themselves corned in a goat’s horn ...

In any case, a fascinating musical journey awaits us, with no shortage of noble sounds and plenty of cheerful antics, so that in the end it will not be entirely clear who are musicians and who are listeners!

Recommended for children and youth from 6–14 with their families


The Music Market is a full-day programme, which will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018, in Vetrinj Mansion and in the Knight's Hall of the Regional Museum Maribor, where the following events will take place:

• 10.00-18.00: The Garden of Sounds, an interactive exhibition of unique musical instruments for children and adults


• 10.00:  It has a beginning, but no end, a concert for children and adults


• 11.00: To the Hunt!, a concert matinee for families with children


• 16.00: Music Tells Stories, a concert matinee for families with children


• 17.00: Sound Kitchen, performance and workshop for children and adults
